Ref 561 - Database Developer

Our Client, a software development firm from Boston, is looking for a Database Developer.

The Role:
As a full-time experienced Database developer, you will maintain and enhance the Client's data warehouse. You will report to the ICT Specialist and work within a team dedicated to maintaining the Client's portal.

Location:
Work remotely from anywhere in Latin America.

Required Skills:
● Minimum two years of experience in Oracle PL/SQL Programming.
● Proven experience in Data warehouse projects and requirements gathering
● Proven experience in UNIX shell script
● Experience with integrating Oracle and Azure and SQL Server
● Strong analytical skills needed for gap analysis and source to target mapping
● Strong communication skills – consultant will be working as part of a larger team and will be required to provide knowledge transfer to the core team

Key Deliverables:
● Develop XML and SQL script-based procedures 
● Maintenance and creation of new structures in the oracle environment 
● Work on the maintenance of SQL loader scripts uploading to the Oracle
● Maintaining and enhance existing UNICEF Data warehouse structures 
● Assist in designing high performance, high availability database systems.
● Develop UNIX shell scripts and/or Windows batch files to facilitate the extraction, movement, and loading of transactional data.
● Code the extract, transform, and load routines using PL/SQL and SQL Server Integration Services.
● Maintain documentation on the development and production configuration and technical documentation including logical and physical database designs, metadata, and production procedures.
● Regularly monitor and tune as needed the database performance

Availability: Full-time (40 hours weekly)
