Our Client, a software development firm from Boston, is looking for a Data Visualization Specialist in Valencia, Spain.
The Role:
As a Data Visualization Specialist, you will assess user requirements and work with the BI team in developing and maintaining reports, cubes and dashboards in a BI application.
Location:
Valencia, Spain.
Required Skills:
● 5+ years of experience in data visualization and BI reports development
● Excellent visual skills, including demonstrable design knowledge, such as layout, typography, color, interaction design and fluency with BI tools
● Expertise with charting and other data visualization techniques
● Relevant experience and high proficiency in MS SSRS, SSAS, Power BI, Excel
● 5 years or more developer experience in a corporate or large non-profit setting
● Experience with the complete systems development lifecycle process
● Strong experience in Oracle PL/SQL scripts, SQL Server Scripts, HTML, CSS and JavaScript
● Working knowledge of MS SSIS and SharePoint
● Ability to write detailed documentation (use cases, configuration instructions, and models) for both technical and non-technical audiences
Key Deliverables:
● Assess customer requirements, determine technical feasibility and document results
● Draft technical specifications based on functional requirements
● Create and edit visual content including maps, charts, and graphs
● Build interactive and complex data visualizations and analysis tools (e.g., dashboards)
● Develop highly complicated reports (e.g., drill through, drill down, dynamic parameters, sub-reports) and multi-dimensional analysis tools (e.g., cubes)
● Provide PL/SQL and SQL scripts (e.g., queries, views, stored procedures, triggers, packages) to support front-end BI applications
● Ensure in-depth unit, application and integration testing
● Assist in the creation and enhancement of design and development standards
● Provide user and technical application documentation
Availability: Full-time (40 hours weekly)
