Our Client, a software development firm from Boston, is looking for a Data Engineer in Valencia, Spain.

The Role:
As a full-time experienced Data Engineer, you will maintain and enhance the Client's data warehouse. The consultant will report to the ICT Specialist and work within a team dedicated to maintaining the Client's portal

Location:
Valencia, Spain.

Required Skills:
● 5 years or more hands-on experience in Oracle database and SQL Server/SQL DB development including PL/SQL and T-SQL
● 3 years + of experience related to of International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) standards, elements and codes
● Expert knowledge of IATI’s core, supplementary and metadata schema 
● Advanced knowledge of Oracle internals and Oracle database administration and database tuning including hands-on experience creating database schemas, tablespaces, and all other related DDL
● Knowledge of Salesforce and its integration with Oracle and Azure Synapse
● Experience in integration of SAP Open hub files with Oracle
● Experience in trouble shooting data integrity issues between SAP and UNICEF Data warehouse(UDW) by looking at data within SAP
● SAP knowledge to be able to analyze and transform data from SAP into intelligence in UDW 
● Strong knowledge and experience in UNIX shell scripting
● Knowledge of cloud tools with experience using Microsoft Azure, preferably Azure ADF
● Knowledge of sales cloud and marketing cloud, as well as SOQL language
● Experience with the complete systems development lifecycle process
● Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
● Ability to write technical documentation (use cases, configuration instructions, and models) for both technical and non-technical audiences
● Ability to work with a team as well as independently in an overall multi-cultural environment and gender sensitive work environment

Key Deliverables:
● Design and implement effective database solutions and models to store and retrieve data.
● Enhance and maintain IAIT schemas and generate IATI XML and JSON files 
● Move to the new version of IATI 2.03
● Enhancements and modifications to the for the IATI biennial index
● Assist the ICT specialist in understanding the business needs related to Core Standard Indicators and translating to data models and code
● Trouble shoot data integrity issues between SAP, SAP BW and UNICEF Data warehouse
● Examine and identify database structural necessities by evaluating operations, applications, and programming.
● Research new database technologies and recommend solutions to improve performance, scalability, & storage.
● Research opportunities for new software use for data integration and BI solutions 
● Integrate new data management technologies and software engineering tools into existing structures
● Assess database implementation procedures to ensure they comply with internal and external regulations.
● Work on performance tuning of the refresh in Oracle, Azure and SQL Server
● Build physical and logical data base models 
● Development of procedures and structures in the Azure data warehouse 
● Integration with Azure/SQL server/Oracle
● Building packages for Web APIs
Availability: Full-time (40 hours weekly)
